The game is an open-world adventure that’s got creature catching and cool skateboards. "We plan to create more realistic and cinematic games through the art center," said Jeakwon Kim, Executive Head of Division, Art Sector. DokeV, a new creature-collecting game from Pearl Abyss, was announced during Gamescom 2021. Pearl Abyss is currently developing Crimson Desert, DokeV, and PLAN 8 using its next-generation game engine and is poised to grow its overseas market. The new office will be 15 stories high with five underground floors and provide an environment to advance game development and increase work efficiency. All of Pearl Abyss games are built on the companys proprietary engine and are renowned for cutting-edge graphics. In the meantime, the company's new headquarters is also under construction in Gwacheon Knowledge Information Town and is expected to be completed in 2022. The company has also received recognition for its game quality and service capabilities, realistic 3D graphics, and outstanding illustrations and actions. Last year, Black Desert Mobile won Best Audio/Visual Accomplishment at the Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards, and was nominated for Best Game Engine this year.

The Black Desert franchise was built with Pearl Abyss' own proprietary engine and has met with much success in the global market. Pearl Abyss has already been actively investing in game technology by operating its own top-quality motion capture studio, 3D scanning studio, and audio studio equipped for foley recording. The nearly 11,000 square foot (1000 square meters) studio will feature a floor-to-ceiling height of over 30 feet, and 150 motion capture cameras, allowing for more varied and efficient motion capture shooting with more access to space. The Art Center will consist of various departments including a new motion capture studio, which will be built as a large column-free space structured with steel trusses. The company has already invested $26m to construct a five-story building with a gross floor area of 54,000 square foot (5,000 square meters), set to be located in Pyeongchon, Anyang City. The tenative name for the place is currently being called the Pearl Abyss Art Center, which will be an entirely new building 9which you can see a mockup of below) that will specialize in game technology and design research.
#Dokev game engine software
No word yet, though, on whether the software works on both PCs and Macs.Pearl Abyss announced plans this week to establish a brand new Korean game industry art center, the biggest of its kind in South Korea. So, if you're a game developer and you've struggled with this dynamic in the past, maybe your salvation is coming. And if it works, the cross-platform game engine could bring almost $150 million in new revenue into the country's coffers. The AP said that the genesis of the software was a desire to move South Korea's video game industry beyond its core platform, PCs. In any case, the ministry said its new software brainchild could allow game designers to easily forge compatibility between all manner of devices, including PCs, game consoles, mobile phones and PDAs and more. That's because the country's Ministry of Information and Communication has unveiled a cross-platform game engine called, appropriately enough, the "cross-platform game engine." How's that for ingenuity in naming? Well, according to Associated Press reports, if the South Koreans have anything to say about this, that dynamic could soon be a distant memory. If they built a game for PCs, it would usually be a major ordeal to get it running on PlayStation 2s, for example.

For game developers, one of the stickiest tasks has always been porting their creations to new devices.
